Jamaica’s men’s 4×100 m relay team has won gold in the relays at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany. Trinidad and Tobago was second to win the silver while Great Britian was third.
The Jamaican team of Steve Mullings, Michael Frater, Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell ran a good race with quite smooth baton changes and won the race in 37.31 seconds.
This is Jamaica’s second medal in the 100m relays after the women’s team took the gold in the same event earlier yesterday.
Today Jamaica will contest its last race for a medal at the championships in the women’s 4×400m relay. The team of Kaliese Spencer, Sheerefa Lloyd, Rosemarie Whyte and Novlene Williams-Mills came second in their heat to advance to the finals. Jamaica ran the second fastest qualification time of 3:24.72.
