THREE children - Tyrese Johnson, 5; Moesha Davis, 3; and Daysha Davis, who was said to be less than one year-old - were unable to escape and reportedly hugged each other closely as fire burnt the three-room house where they were left without adult supervision yesterday.

Hello everyone,
This is my first post to “All Things Jamaican” at Jamaicamade.net. I believe that this blog will go places and I hope to go places with it too.
I was forced however to comment on this sad story.
I cannot understand why adults take such chances of leaving infants on their own. It happens too often in Jamaica. It always turns out that the unfortunate children are the ones that suffer.
I understand that the mother of these 3 children ran away when she learned what happened. What was she thinking about when she left these 3 babies on their own?
